Going Solo is an app designed to connect travelers worldwide. Our app is the perfect place for solo travelers looking to make friends on their trips, for people looking for new friends to travel with, to get advice and tips, or to see people going to the same next destination as you.
How do I use Going Solo
Going Solo offers a straightforward user experience with its key features:
- Nearby Page: The home page shows solo travelers within 100km near you, and groups near you. You have the option to create your own group that others in the area can freely join. The nearby page also shows live hangouts, where you can make yourself available or unavailable to meet with other travelers in the area.
- Trip Page: Our trip page allows you to search a destination with a set of dates to find other travelers who are going within the same time frame. You can also join or create trip plans for others to request to join.
- Feed Page: Our feed page shows posts from travelers you follow, and countries you. follow. In our app, you can follow a country page, which are collaborate pages to share plans, post photos, create forum posts, see itineraries, and get inspired. The feed page also includes stories "Going Solo's Tips of the Week"
- Profiles: Each user has their own custom profile which displays your photos, a bio, where you live currently and where you were born. You can follow users in your location or on your planned trip, browse their past and current travel photos, and engage in one-on-one messaging.
- Travel Buddy Matching: Our travel buddy matching feature is a premium feature in the app for $3.99. It is a swipe based area of the app where you can swipe and match with a potential, travel buddy based on shared interests, next destination, and other various factors.

Going Solo alleviates the fear that solo travel will lead to loneliness. It makes the overall travel experience better by bringing people to share experiences.
